How To Get Connected
When configuring your wireless settings, the network name (SSID) will be AU. Access to our wireless network involves two security steps. After you enter the WEP key (see instructions in appropriate PDF download below) and try to connect to the wireless network, the server will prompt you for a valid Adelphi sign-in. This is where you enter your eCampus username and password.
Detailed guides for your operating system are available for download below:
- Windows XP/2000 (PDF 698KB)
- Windows Vista (PDF 540KB)
- Mac OS X (PDF 292KB)
Once this information is entered, you should automatically connect within a few minutes. For optimal speed, you should position yourself as close as possible to the hot spot.
Indoor/Outdoor Hot Spots
Look for the yellow signs on campus that indicate wireless hot spots. (Note: Some areas may be fully covered even though signs are not put up, such as residence halls.) Maps of specific coverage areas are available at the bottom of this page.
