Entering Your Mailbox
The first time you try to access your mailbox you will be prompted for a passcode. Use your mailbox number. During the initial setup you will be instructed on how to change the passcode and make it something unique so as to avoid other users from accessing your mailbox.

Resident Students
    From dorm room
    Dial 4999.
    After system answers, enter: 6-digit mailbox number
    After greeting, enter passcode.
Faculty/ Staff
    From your campus telephone:
    Dial 3999.
    After system answers, enter passcode.

    From other campus telephones:
    Dial 3999.
    After system answers enter extenstion number * then, enter passcode.

    From off campus:
    Dial 877-3999.
    After system answers, enter : extension number * then, enter passcode.

Main Menu
    7 - Play new/saved messages
    6 - Make message to send
    8 - User options
    9 - Exit: also used to back up or send a message
    0 - To reach Operator
    # - To dial an extension, press # extension number * from Main Menu

Playing Messages
  1. Enter mailbox.
  2. Press 7 to play messages
  3. Press 7 to play messages again
Control Functions:
  • * - Skip backwards five seconds
  • # - Skip forward five seconds
  • 8 - Pause for 30 seconds
  • 2 - To Answer message
    Note: The "Answer Option" is available only if the message is sent from another mailbox or extension with a voice mailbox. To reply to all other messages, you need to Make a message and enter the mailbox number. After recording a message, press # for recording options.
  • 9 - To send a message
After replying to a message press:
  • 3 - To discard message
  • 5 - To keep message
  • 7 - To continue
To Give message (copy) to another user:
  1. 4 - 6-digit mailbox number #
  2. Record
  3. # - Recording options
  4. 9 - To Send
  5. 3 - To Discard Message
  6. 5 - To Keep Message

Recording a Message for Another Mailbox User
  1. Enter Mailbox
  2. 6 - To Make a message
  3. Enter recipient's mailbox number #
  4. Record your message.
  5. # - For recording options
  6. 9 - To send
Recording a Message to a Personal Distribution List
  1. Enter Mailbox
  2. 6 - To Make a message
  3. Distribution list numbers (01-09) #
  4. Record your message.
  5. # - For recording options
  6. 9 - To send

Creating a Distribution List
  1. Enter mailbox.
  2. 8 - For User options
  3. 5 - To create a List
  4. Distribution list numbers (01-09)
  5. 6 - To Name list
  6. Record list name
  7. 9 - To Save name
  8. 2 - To Add names to the list
    2 new mailbox number - For each person to be added
  9. 9 - To save entries and Exit menu

Modifying a Distrubution List
  1. Enter mailbox.
  2. 8 - For user options
  3. 5 - To Modify a List
  4. Distributions list numbers (01-09)
  5. 7 - To Play names on list
  6. 2 - To Add a member
    3 - To Drop a member
    Mailbox number - For each person to be added or dropped
  7. 9 - To save enries and Exit menu

To Send a Broadcast Message
  1. Enter mailbox.
  2. 6 - To Make a message
  3. Broadcast mailbox number #
  4. Record your message
  5. # - For recording options
  6. 9 - To send

Recording Options

Control Functions:
  • 7 - Review message
  • 3 - Discard message
  • 2 - Append message
  • 6 - Message Addressing Options
Mark message for special handling:
  1. 2 - Confidential: Recipient cannot send a copy of message to another user
  2. 8 - Urgent: Message is sent to the front of recipient’s unplayed message queue.
  3. 7 - Receipt: Message receipt is sent showing the date/time the recipient played the message you sent
  4. 3 - Future Delivery: Schedules message's arrival at a later date or time
