Office Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Computer Puchasing Services

The MicroComputer Store and Computer Purchasing Services departments are dedicated to providing for the cost-effective distribution of quality information technology products to members of the Adelphi community. We are committed to addressing customer specific information processing systems needs- computer hardware, software and related products- by investing the time and effort necessary to understand those needs.

The MicroComputer Store provides the faculty, students, and staff of Adelphi University with a convenient location on campus to receive the information they need about computer products for home or home-office use. After reviewing individual needs, we educate customers about various options and help them reach the most beneficial purchasing decision. Through pre-negotiated vendor contracts, and affiliations with institutions servicing the college- store industry, the MicroComputer Store provides our customers with a variety of computer hardware and software products at educational discounted pricing. The Adelphi Community can purchase computer equipment directly from the manufacturer.

The Computer Purchasing Services office works in conjunction with the Computing Center to design technologically and economically feasible solutions for department-wide implementation, classroom and laboratory facilities or for individual offices of the faculty and staff members of Adelphi University. We analyze the varied needs of departments and individual offices, map a course of options, and prepare proposals ensuring a seamless integration of the new project into existing facilities. Recommendations from faculty, staff and Networking Services are continually integrated into the solution design process. Through centralization of this process, we design favorable and compatible solutions that are easily integrated into the existing infrastructure while allowing for the expanding needs of our customers.
